Ashford Parkrun – 14th July 2018
First home for Striders this week and 23rd overall was Dave Hunt who ran a new PB of 21:56. Club Chairman Cris Francis was the club’s second place finisher and 28th overall, running his milestone 50th parkrun in 22:23. Lee Standen was third for the club with a time of 27:46. First Strider lady home and 17th female finisher overall was Emma Jeffery in a time of 28:08. Rachel Brisley finished shortly behind in a time of 28:17 also in the top 20 female finishers, with Emily Moors running a new PB of 34:20 and Pam Hunt in 37:45. Well done to all on a very hot morning.
A mention too for Striders’ Libby Matthews, Tamsin Ritchie and Kath Atkinson who were on volunteer duty.
Other Events
A number of Striders took part in races on Sunday 15th July in extremely hot temperatures. Jason Sanders ran the Eastbourne 5k on Sunday 15 th in a time of 24.56 – he also finished in first place in his age category, a great achievement. Nicki Crawley (59:03) and Libby Matthews (1:09:14) ran the London British 10k, and Katie Exon (1:08:16) Tyree Spicer (1:07:36) Catherine Lane (1:30:49) and Danielle Moss (1:30:49) ran the Romney Marsh 10k.
