Eden Project Half Marathon
Husband and wife duo Dave and Pam Hunt travelled to run the Eden Project half marathon in Cornwall this weekend. Dave finished the undulating course in 2:14:26 with Pam, running her first ever half marathon, completing the run in 3:08:10.
Royal Parks Half Marathon
Nicola Crawley ran the Royal Parks Half Marathon in a time of 2:07:55. She was joined by Tyree Spicer who ran a time of 2:17:04.
Goodwood Festival of Running
Jason Sanders, Kath Atkinson and Cris Francis travelled to Goodwood festival of running. Jason ran in the 10k event finishing in a time of 52:15. Kath Atkinson was 19th placed female runner and 4th placed in the womens F35 category in the half marathon, with a time of 1:54:25. Cris Francis finished in exactly the same time, and 16th in the M40 category.
Ashford Parkrun
Justin Burden was the first Strider home at this week’s parkrun in a time of 23:15 and 27th place overall. He was followed by Kath Atkinson in 24:46, who was 6 th placed female this week. Josh Whiten was next home in 26:13 with Alison Waters (26:27), Cris Francis (26:28) and Mark Archer (26:54) hot on his heels.
Emma Jeffery (27:57) and Rachel Brisley (27:58) were the next to finish, with Simon Jackson (28:39), Steve Rumsey (28:44), Rebecca Hurley (31:02), Tamsin Ritchie (31:08), and Rachel Oliver (33:31) the next home. Allison Button finished with a superb sprint in 36:27, with Louise McDonnell (36:53), Toyah Bicker (37:38), Kirsty Theobald (39:51) and Danielle Moss (41:38) the remaining Strider runners. Katie Iggulden Exon volunteered as this week’s tail walker.
