Parkrun
Linda-Jean Delport was the first female finisher at this week’s Ashford Parkrun, with a new personal best time of 22:44. Her time also put her in 38th place overall. Justin Burden was the first Strider man to complete the course in a time of 23:35, with David Gadsby – running his 100th parkrun – next to finish in 25:36. Jamie Bartlett (26:04) was next home, with Stephen Rumsey close behind with a new PB of 26:10. Mark Archer (27:50), Emma Jeffery (29:23), Rachel Brisley (29:41) and Kevin York (29:42) all posted times under the 30 minute mark.
Lee Standen finished in 31:55, Rachel Oliver in 32:03 and Clare Maxlow in 33:23. Allison Button was next to complete the run in 37:14 with Danielle Moss in 40:23. Kath Atkinson, Cris Francis and Tamsin Ritchie all gave their time to take up volunteer roles at this week’s run.
Further afield Rebecca Hurley took part in the Singapore East Coast parkrun, running an excellent time of 30:16 in 30 degree heat.
Poppy Half Marathon
Gemma Wicks and Carly James took part in the Poppy Half in Bexhill on Sea to commemorate Remembrance day and running together both achieved times of 2:35:06.
Battle of Britain Challenge
James Batcheller competed in the Saxons, Vikings and Normans Battle of Britain Challenge at Samphire Hoe running his first ever marathon in a time of 5:58:29.
