Ashford Parkrun
Ashford Striders’ ladies achieved a Parkrun first and second at this week’s Victoria Park 5k. Kath Atkinson took the ladies’ crown and finished in 14th place overall in a new personal best time of 21:06. Linda-Jean Delport was the second female to finish and 28th overall in a time of 22:14. Club Chairman Cris Francis also achieved a new Parkrun PB finishing in 19th place overall in a timeof 21:26.
Mark Archer finished in 71st place overall in 26:24 with Steve Rumsey shortly after in 26:32. Tamsin Ritchie set a time of 29:47 with Tyree Spicer finishing in a new PB time of 30:19 and Jamie Bartlett one second behind in 30:20. Rachel Oliver completed the course in 31:09.
East Grinstead Parkrun
Rebecca Hurley and Simon Jackson enjoyed some Parkrun tourism with a visit to East Grinstead. The hilly and muddy conditions did not deter them, with Rebecca, who was the 5th female finisher overall, completing the route in 33:38 and Simon in 33:39.
