The Kent Golden Mile & 5k

Friday night saw the Golden Mile race at Dymchurch which Frank Remigio took part in, clocking in at a time of 7:30 for the mile sprint. He also took part in the 5k event, finishing in 24:42. Justin Burden set the fastest time for Striders in 23:34 with Danielle Moss coming in with a new PB of 35:40 and Allison Button, also setting a PB in 36:18.

Ashford Parkrun

Paul McDonnell was on the pace at Victoria Park finishing in 4th position overall in 19:15. He was followed by Duncan Forbes who was 9th overall in 20:14. Linda-Jean Delport set a new PB of 21:05 finishing in 12th position and 2nd for the ladies. Justin Burden, fresh from the Dymchurch race on the Friday evening clocked up 23:29 in 40th position. Greg Johnson, 54th position, finished in 24:25. Cris Francis (25:40) and Alison Waters (25:41) were next to finish, with Martin Whittingham also setting a sub-30 minute time in 29:30. Rachel Theobald (30:22), Kevin York (30:22) and Brian Forrester (30:24) were next across the line, with Hazel Forrester just behind in 30:52. Sarahjane Knight set a new PB of 35:46 and she was followed by Clare Maxlow (35:50), Kirsty Theobald (37:07) and Sarah Hunt (37:16). Jamie Bartlett, Tamsin Ritchie, Stephen Rumsey, Shane Snowwolf and Lee Standen provided volunteer support.

Southsea Parkrun

Having competed in the 5k at Dymchurch the previous evening, Danielle Moss travelled to Southsea for the south coast parkrun, setting a time of 38:07.

Great Run Local

Nicola Crawley took part in the Sunday morning run at Kingsnorth, setting a time of 26:19.

Race to the King

Rachel Misson took part in a second double marathon for June, running the Race to the King event along the South Downs Way to Winchester. The 53.5 mile two day course took her 17:24:57 overall.

Tenderfoot Boogie 13km Sprint

Dave Hunt travelled to Whistler in Canada, taking part in the Tenderfoot Boogie 13km event. The hilly trail run through the woodland scenery took him 2:43.

Elsewhere, Carly James and Rachel Oliver took on the Pilgrims Way Challenge on Saturday 22nd June. Oliver walked the full Wye to Dover route covering 55km of the Kent Countryside which she achieved in 11:00:38. James walked the Wye to Canterbury 25km route in 4:44:23. Pam Hunt took part in Maidstone’s charity Bubble Rush event.
